I understand that A Brand New Colony is not an employer, landlord, or legal entity providing financial compensation or traditional housing agreements. My participation is voluntary, and I am responsible for my own well-being and choices while in the community.

2. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that communal living carries inherent risks, including but not limited to accidents, illnesses, interpersonal conflicts, and lack of guaranteed resources. I assume all risks and agree not to hold A Brand New Colony, its founders, or participants legally responsible for any harm, injury, or loss I may experience.

3. Community Conduct & Expulsion Policy
I agree to respect community guidelines, contribute to shared responsibilities, and engage in conflict resolution in good faith. If my behavior is deemed disruptive, harmful, or in violation of community agreements, I understand that I may be asked to leave without recourse or appeal.

4. No Guarantee of Resources or Services
I understand that A Brand New Colony operates as a communal experiment and does not guarantee continuous access to food, shelter, utilities, or medical care. I am responsible for my own needs and acknowledge that all provisions are shared and subject to availability.

5. Privacy & Media Release
I acknowledge that A Brand New Colony may document community experiences through photos, videos, or written accounts for promotional or historical purposes. By participating, I grant permission for my image and statements to be used, unless I explicitly request otherwise in writing.

6. Legal Independence & No Government Affiliation
I understand that A Brand New Colony is not affiliated with any government program or recognized as a legal entity providing housing or social services. My participation does not create any legal rights to residency, employment, or governmental benefits.

7. Binding Agreement
By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to these terms. I release A Brand New Colony and its members from any legal claims arising from my participation.

Selection Process
By submitting this application, you acknowledge that A Brand New Colony reserves the right to accept or deny any applicant at its sole discretion based on community needs, compatibility, and available resources. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the commune.

Selection is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to:

Skills, contributions, and willingness to participate in communal living

Overall fit within the group dynamic

We do not discriminate based on race, gender, sexuality, or religion. However, disruptive behavior, a history of violence, or an unwillingness to participate in shared responsibilities may result in denial of application or removal from the community after acceptance.

A Brand New Colony is not a government-recognized institution and does not provide legal residency or employment status. All participation is voluntary.

Use of Application Fees ($40)
Your $40 application fee directly supports the development of the commune, ensuring a sustainable and thriving space for all members. These funds contribute to:

✅ Cafeterias & Food Supply – Creating shared dining spaces and ensuring food availability
✅ Recreational & Communal Areas – Constructing gathering spots, workshops, and activity zones
✅ Land Taxes & Legal Fees – Covering costs associated with maintaining and securing the land
✅ Film Production Costs – Funding salaries and expenses for the documentary crew capturing this revolutionary movement

Application fees are non-refundable, as they immediately go toward these essential costs.
